MM here for the final analysis of the The New Jersey Series. If you have seen these movies and loved them as much as i did, then be happy because Kevin Smith is making a sixth movie, the Passion of the Clerks. But we're still here at five. And so the fifth and (so far) final part in the New Jersey Series is...
JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK
Jay and Silent Bob are just hanging out in front of the Quickstop selling drugs when their own friends Dante and Randall (Clerks) decide to report them to the police. After getting a restraining order, they go to the Video Store where Brodie (Mallrats) tells them that a Bluntman and Chronic movie is in the works. Jay and Bob have gotten no money from this production and decide to confront the creator of the series, Holden (Chasing Amy). He tells them he has given all the rights to his friend Banky (also Chasing Amy). Then Holden shows Jay and Bob that the movie will suck anyway as said in reviews on the internet. But Jay and Bob take the reviews personally and decide that if they want people to stop saying bad things about them, then they will have to take down the movie and stop its production.
This is all in the first 15 minutes, and the rest of the movie ets a lot crazier. Such includes a diamond heist, an orangutan, and the biggest studio fight since Blazing Saddles and Pee Wee's Big Adventure. The ending makes a true fan of the series appreciate what great work the New Jersey Series is.
I do hereby dub this movie 9/10.
I do hereby dub this series 10/10.
