I realize I haven't done any reviews in a while, so here we go.
I recently partook in seeing the Pink Floyd film, THE WALL. For those who don't know who Pink Floyd is, I pity you.
This movie had me glued to the screen the entiree movie. Although many people disliked this movie,I loved it. Many people may say that it didn't have a plot, and that it was just a bunch of music videos in a movie's length. It is actually one of the most complex movies ever. Almost the entire movie is symbolic. It deals around the life of a man known as "Pink". It involves war, school, and love. All of it leads to him going crazy and building the wall.
This movie was way ahead of it's time. It is pre-Sixteen Candles, showing us that people in the 80s didn't want to go to the movies to think.
This movie was released on Special Edition DVD for it's 25th Aniversary last Tuesday. If you see it, be prepared for almost no dialogue. The story is told entirely by the songs playing in the background. Don't feel stupid if you feel the urge to turn on the subtitles. FINAL THOUGHT: Great movie to watch when you want to challange your mind and hear some great tunes, better viewed in one sitting for plot reasons.
I do herby dub this movie: 9 out of 10!
