So yeah, I went to Markland's 72 seat theatre to watch the movie, "Hostage" starring Bruce Willis and Kevin Pollak. It was actually a good movie, in my opinion.
Willis is an ex-negotiator that retired when he caused the death of a little boy with his stubborness. A year later, he becomes the sherriff of a small town where nothing hardly ever happens.
At the same time Kevin Pollak is an accountant that "fixes the books" for the so-called "bad guys." So, he lives in this big mansion on top of a mountain with his son and daughter.
Their house is broken into by two punk teenage brothers and a slightly order, mysterious man simply named "Mars." After killing a cop and knocking Kevin Pollak unconscious, the three boys drew the attention of Bruce Willis.
However, because of the business Kevin Pollak is involved in, Bruce is sidetracked and given an ultimatum. He gets the "bad guys" something they want from the house while listening to their instructions, if he doesn't, his wife and daughter are killed.
So, the rest of the movie is Bruce Willis trying to con everybody else and ultimately try to save everyone's life.
Because of the weird comic book looking intro/ending I have to take points off for the feel of the movie. I walked into the theatre and thought it was Sin City.
However, the fact that everybody was screwing with everyone else's heads and that nobody was a good guy, except for maybe the nine year old boy gives this movie extra points.
I give this movie an 8/10.
