The forest of Procella lies just outside the city Lumen. In the middle of the forest lies a village. Many people from many different lands moved to this village. And they were all ruled by a man named Otium. And he had a son named Sordes and a daughter named Animosus. Together...

...they ruled fairly over the village. Otium had another daughter, however, named Lenelle. She was the youngest of all the children, and was praised far and wide for her beauty and kindness. She often complained loudly to her father about moving away from the small village and to the city of Lumen, because in Lumen there were rich noblemen and much more fashionable clothiers. Her father...

For Otium was certain that no man in the land would want to marry her daughter and none who would want to would marry the girl. He understood her selfishness and overall rudeness and trusted that it was to his advantage. However, one day...

at the crack of down, a lone stranger came riding from across the countryside. He rode a white stalleon with eyes of the darkest shade of green. As he came upon this village he halted in the middle of the road. He smiled for it reminded him of the home he once lost. He hrew back the reins and went toward the village. That's when...

"My name is Sir Amandal. What is yours my fair beauty?" "My name, dear sir, is Lenelle." The two walked through the forest, talking about Amandal's journies, and Lenelle's plans for her life. That night, she brought him to her father.

"Father, this is Sir Amandel." Lanette said, walking through the doors. Otium raised his head at the sound of the intruding figures. "What is this?" The King demanded.

"Good sir," Amandel said, "I wish to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage." Both Lenelle and her father were shocked by this. "You have only just met," the great ruler replied. "I wish you to court my daughter first, and then I shall make a decision."

"Well, um..." Amandel said, searching for words.
"Father is having a ball this evening!" Lenelle said excitedly, jumping up and down. Otium glared at his daughter.
"Lenelle, could we talk for a-" Otium started before being interrupted by his daughter.
"This is great!" She screamed excitedly. "We can go to the feast."
"I don't think-" Otium tried again.
"Splendid!" Amandel said, "it is arranged then. I shall see you around...?"
"6:00 in the twilight should be suitable." Otium said, picking up the cue.
With everything arranged, the prince left the castle.

That night at the ball Lenelle was wearing her finest dress, a silk summer-sky gown with draping sleeves and gold trim that set off her eyes. She waited excitedly at the door of the ballroom for her knight to come. She had never felt like this toward anyone before. She was determined to marry Sir Amandel, no matter what her father said. Nothing would stop her.

In her heart, she knew that her father was looking out for her, but she believed that she could look out for herself. Her heart told her that this was the man for her, and that was all that mattered to her.
