Just thought I should check it out. Even though nobody will probably post here.

McKay rocks. I like Sheppard second-best. Hopefully Teyla will start pulling her weight and become interesting, but right now she's my least favorite character.

Same here. I don't have a problem with Ford. I just think that he seems so uptight because he hasn't become comfortable with the way Weir and Shepphard are running things.
I just think it will take some time for him to open up. After all, he is Atlantis's Teal'c. Or would that be Teyla? Then Ford would be Atlantis's Jack, I guess.

I think the good thing about Atlantis is that the characters aren't just rehashed from SG-1, but they're still interesting.

Well yeah, but they do have a lot of similarities.
Teyla and Teal'c: Both names start with "T" and look nothing like how they sound. Both the aliens in the group. Both the "black person" of the group. Both are warriors that choose a "stick-like object" as their weapon.
Shepphard and Daniel: Both care about alien life. Both watched important people in their lives be killed by the enemy. Both get along great with the alien life they find. Both have Ancient abilities.
Ford and Jack: Both like to shoot things. Both talk while no one's listening. Both don't know what's going on.
McKay and Carter: Both are geniuses. Both argue with the other. Both are the only ones that can operate a certain device.(Sam can operate the Goa'uld healing device and McKay can operate his personal shield.)
Weir and Hammond: Both are in charge so don't ask any questions.
And those are the comparisons.
